Ashley Henry

Ashley Henry is an award-winning jazz pianist, singer, composer, and producer. His album "Beautiful Vinyl Hunter" (2020) received international acclaim and was nominated for BBC 6 Music's Album of the Year. He has toured as a band member with Christine and the Queens and has provided support on Loyle Carner's tour. Henry's sound is influenced by his upbringing in London and his Caribbean roots, blending genres and drawing from classical training as well as the Black radical tradition. He has been inspired by figures such as James Baldwin, Angela Davis, Ahmad Jamal, and Aretha Franklin. In 2023, Henry established his own label, Royal Raw Music, aimed at exploring new musical boundaries. Two years ago, he captivated the audience at the Super-Sonic Jazz Festival in Paradiso.
